Our Ocean Campaigns

Ending Medical Waste and Marine Pollution Threats

Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA) Tanzania

SOA Tanzania’s Ocean Campaigns are advocacy, education, and action-oriented initiatives designed to protect marine ecosystems, empower youth and coastal communities, and influence ocean governance at local, national, and global levels.

Our campaigns address urgent ocean challenges while contributing to SOA Tanzania’s five Key Impact Areas:Ecosystems Restored or Protected, Youth & Community Engagement, Advocacy & Policy Contributions, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Knowledge, Awareness & Behavior Change.

Under this program, SOA Tanzania implements key ocean campaigns including Medical Waste and Marine Pollution, High Seas (BBNJ), the Global Plastics Treaty, Climate and Ocean Justice, and Deep Seabed Mining. These campaigns address urgent ocean threats while strengthening youth leadership, influencing policy, and promoting the protection and sustainable use of marine ecosystems at local, national, and global levels.
